IMPROVING OUTCOMES FOR PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME, FIBROMYALGIA AND RELATED DISORDERS

A well-known and well-regarded speaker, Dr. Brown will discuss the stress response system and its neurophysiology. The presentation will include a discussion of the evidence for and effectiveness of non-pharmaceutical, lifestyle approaches for CFS and fibromyalgia. Lifestyle approaches discussed will include nutrition, supplements, stress management, movement activities, mindfulness and Qi Gong. Dr. Brown will instruct attendees in beginning breathing and meditation techniques and will lead an experiential in these practices.

Resolve your sleep disturbances using self-hypnosis, deep relaxation and self-suggestion. In three meetings you will learn some basic techniques that can enable you to improve your particular sleep patterns. The course will consist of brief lectures, group practice and discussion.
